Very comfortable shoe with a sporty look. Light in weight, water-proof and easy to clean. I look forward to several good years in these shoes!

For every day wearing

As others have commented, these are a little cumbersome to get on, but once they are on, they are really comfy and feel very secure. I haven't actually worn them out and about yet, but I wore them around the house and found them to be comfortable. Because of how they go on, I believe this will aid in keeping water/dirt out while hiking in inclement weather, but I have yet to test this. The tread looks very solid and my foot feels very secure in them. I am very pleased with this purchase!

I have bad knees and have been looking for shoes that help with walking. These are perfect. I've been increasing my walking distance each day and it feels great.

I like the 'liner' that keeps dirt ect. out of the shoe on the trail. Use both tabs to get on easier.

I saw that these shoes had many high marks and good comments even though they were said to be difficult to get on so I thought I would try them since they were on sale. I'm glad I did! They are good looking, very comfortable and provide good support. They have great traction for going up and down steep slopes. I never slip in them. I was able to put my own insoles in easily and prefer them to what they came with. Instead of a regular tongue under the lacing system there is an elastic sort of inner which is snug but it does loosen in a week or two with use so that the shoes are easier to slip into with help still of the loops. This is unique but it really keeps out debris, rocks and stickers which I appreciate. They stay more or less clean too on my dusty trails so always look pretty good. But they are easy to clean off as needed. The fabric seems kind of impervious to dirt and doesn't let it thru like mesh plus they seem to be a little water proof. I believe they will wear well and be able to endure for several seasons. Great value, even if they weren't on sale! The blue green color with yellow laces are attractive. Good job Eddie Bauer!

These will be great for travel and walking/hiking on tours. They are soft and very comfortable and not as structured a regular hiking shoes, which I already have.

This hiking shoe fit perfectly. It felt so good that I quickly bought another one as a spare.

I could wear these hiking shoes all day, right out of the box. No issues with blisters or breaking them in.

They feel like they will be tight as I push my foot into these hiking shoes. Then they feel great when I'm wearing them. Not tight at all.

I don't know why I tried them on. I don't hike and don't really think they are attractive. I saw the sturdy solid sole and the built up sides to protect the ankle and decided to try. I wasn't impressed until I stood up. They are perfect. I pronate when I walk and my ankle has been hurting for 2 weeks except for 1 pair if tennis shoes I have. I went shopping at NBal to get another pair of tennis, that they didn't have so I walked in Eddie Bauer. I am so glad I did, the ankle pain went away instantly. Light weight, roomy toe box and just comfortable. Sounds like another pair while on sale.

I wasn't sure about the bright pink toe part at first, and I wasn't sure if it would be uncomfortable because I could feel a "heaviness" in the toe box the first time I put them on. I was wrong; these are GREAT shoes! I have used these almost daily for about a week now and hiked at Arches National Park in Moab today. Not once did I think about my feet. No blisters or uncomfortable spots. I wear women's size 11 and have a difficult time finding quality shoes that fit well. I love the integrated "tongue" part that is perfectly formed and they are a nice lightweight material. I would buy again (on sale!).

These are very comfortable shoes. They are good for my knees and feet, especially when I climb hills, providing great protection for my knees.

They could have more cushioning in the sole. I added an OTC gel insert, which helped a lot.

This hiking shoe performance and comfortability is beyond my expectations!! First time out of the box I wore them all day with a lighter sock and they never hurt my feet or rubbed blisters. Since then I worn with a heavier cotten sock and they fit PERFECT! I scored a 60% off price on these, but honestly these are a pair that I would gladly pay full price for!!
