Perfect size for taking on the train

Finding the 27" transverse duffel to be perfect for hiking and trekking gear in Patagonia. Please please bring back the bright green color!!! This one is berry with orange detail, it's ok but I wish it was like my expedition 21 green ( perfect for carry on) but you can't always do carry on if your trip takes you from 93 - 30 degrees

I bought these for storage more than for travel and they work great for that purpose. All my ski gear (minus skis and poles) lives in these during the summer then I just throw it in the car when Winter rolls around. Grat quality for the price. hard to beat.

Great for carry on luggage. Meets most airlines without worry.

I needed a slightly larger rolling duffle for my 2-week trip, and this size was just right. The bag rolled easily, had several convenient handles for carrying, and seemed to expand almost endlessly. Only problem: It is showing wear at the corners, where the fabric is starting to fray. Some wear is to be expected when you check your bags, and this one survived 8 flights and 8 hotel check-ins. I might be more critical if I had paid full price for the bag, but it was on sale.

Good bag for the money. In less than one month, traveled between USA, Australia and New Zealand. Over 12 flights and handled all aspects of travel. Major downside to the bag is no internal tie-down straps to secure contents. I added straps which made big difference in packing and securing contents.

This would work for a short trip but even for my husband, it didn't hold enough. We are spoiled from the large and small size e-bags.

Please note that the star rating is less about the actual product and more about the customer experience from Eddie Bauer. That being said... Product is spacious and wheels roll easy. Material is thin and without structure, definitely would not pack anything breakable without some padding. Overall product seems to be okay, but alas never got a chance to use it. Delivery took almost 3 weeks and item arrived after we took off for vacation and it's intended use.

DUFFEL IS TOO HEAVY FOR ITS LIGHTWEIGHT MATERIAL AND SMALL IN HEIGHT VS OTHER DUFFELS OF THE SAME WIDTH AND LENGHT. RETURNED

Moderately packed, my 32L version of this bag took one trip on a plane and came back with small holes in the fabric. It wasn't handled very hard—as far as I can tell—it was just dragged a little by baggage handlers. That was enough to tear the fabric, it seems. I tried to return it and was told it was "normal" wear and tear, so I'm stuck with a holey duffel bag. My hope is that you won't be.

Not close to the quality one would expect from Eddie Bauer. Even the box it came in was cheap carboard and beat up badly. Opened it, looked at product, put back in box, and filled out return. What a waste of time.

The bag looked cheap, especially the flimsy handle. The colors were maroon and gold, not maroon and black in the photo. I returned it to the store.
