I've worn this hat outside during recent winter snow storms (12") and in the cold mornings to take our dog out in below 0 temperatures. It keeps your lid warm. I got the L/XL and wear a 73/8 hat. It fit but didn't have lots of looseness to it. It probably will stretch a little in repeated uses so all ok on the size. Recommended.

This is a coat that is needed in the northern states in the USA. Thank Eddie Bauer for making quality coats that meet that need. A very nice coat that meets my needs in cold cold winter.

I spend a lot of time beach combing, even in the winter. The winter winds coming off the ocean can be brutal. This is the best hat Ive found to cut the wind, and keep my ears warm

Very warm and constructed. Works well for inactive activities like ice fishing in very cold weather. If you are active it gets hot pretty quickly. It was very reasonable when on sale and I love the look and fit. Yes, it's so goofy looking it is col!!! If you are wondering about sizing, go up to the L/xl. Yo don't want it tight, as it needs some space to trap air.

I walk my dogs a couple of times a day. The weather has been exceptionally cold and windy this year so this hat has been very welcomed. Definitely recommend it for those who spend time in the cold and wind.

In the dead of winter and you have to spend time outdoors it is always a challenge to keep ears and head warm. This hat does just that with the flaps down and it even protects your forehead from icy winds. I have found no warmer head cover and it is still light and easy to store. My only concern is that I got a L/XL and it is still a bit snug so be careful if your head is really large. This might not fit. Otherwise, it is a great buy and I heartily recommend it.

Bought this hat for my dad and he LOVES it. It keeps him warm and muffles the crowd during eagles games.

This is a perfect hat for windy prairie winters. But these are boring colour choices and I already own a dark grey version. Please make options like a true navy, a warm chocolate brown, a sage green.
