It looks just like the picture. The fit isn't rue to size and comfortable to wear. Especially kayaking. The only thing i don't like is. There us only one pocket.

I cruise every few months, these are comfortable, wash and wear easy and the print is darling. I also purchased the jacket that matches for sun protection. The print goes with several colors. They are loose cut with adjustable string and very comfortable!

I bought these shorts for stand--up paddle boarding. I love the attention to detail and quality of work Eddie Bauer put into these shorts. They are short enough so that I have free range of motion to climb back on my board when I fall off. They look great wet or dry. Good job EB!

Love the print on these shorts. They have a rounded leg opening that is very flattering. The waistband is wide elastic with a drawstring. The only downside is I wish the waistband wasn't so thick, but I still love them.

I love the colors in the print tidal shorts SO much! I purchased the blue leaf print but will be going back to my local Eddie Bauer store to get the aqua/peach print as well! I love that these shorts have a 4 way stretch in the fabric. Super comfortable and super cute!

Bright colors and very comfortable

These shorts are very cute and I am keeping them. Just so you know, this fabric is very stiff, otherwise review would be a 5. The length is perfect for me and I am 5'2" (and age 64).

The pattern is cute, but the material is stiff, like the old men's swim trunks.

This in no way compares with the original 5 inch tidal shorts. Fabric is stiffer, waistband is entirely too wide, and the pockets have been eliminated! Oh, and even though I am petite, 3 inches is only good for beach wear, not every day around town.

I bought these thinking at least the fabric was similar to the 5-inch. Three changes that make it much less comfortable: a very wide elastic waist (especially for petites), a rougher fabric, and of course the shorter length. Glad they were on sale, softens the disappointment.

You want some high waisted shorts that leave you looking and feeling like a grandma? Like not having pockets? Then these are for you. They are so high wasted that having a shirt over them which amplifies love handles and fupa by adding an extra layer to them. The original tidal shorts are better. I don't recommend.

I loved the colours and print but were way too short . I purchased a couple of pairs last year and the length was perfect , they chopped 2 inches off this years so unfortunately will have to go back . Older ladies like myself don't want short shorts
