    Durable and Warm

Eddie Bauer is my go to now. I bought the top and bottom first ascent base layers over 10 years ago and they are still like new. Super warm and flexible enough for mountaineering, climbing, or any extreme winter sport. I use them for work as well. Can't go wrong Eddie Bauer from what I've seen so far.

Bought this set of merino wool base layers for my son. He's an electrician and often works in outdoor areas or unheated new construction houses. He loves this material and said it keeps him quite warm, almost too warm at times depending on how active he gets.

These base layers are rock solid. First ascent is the real deal. I do a lot of backpacking as well as lengthy day hikes and these thermals hold up. Super durable as they've held up to many years of abuse. Can't go wrong with First Ascent base layers.

I love wearing these under my chinos in the winter to keep myself warm. These fit perfect even under my slim fit pants and make cold winter days more manageable. One complaint is that they have pilled but for a base layer that's fine

Generally good but comfort and fit limitations
    Feb 23, 2022

Overall good, but the seams are annoying. The waist is too loose while the seat is too narrow so hourglass figures should take a pass.
