The mission of the Juniper Fund is to support and empower families and communities impacted by the loss of Himalayan high-altitude workers.
ASSISTING HIMALAYAN MOUNTAIN WORKERS, THEIR FAMILIES & COMMUNITIES
The Juniper Fund was founded by mountaineers Melissa Arnot Reid and David Morton in order to address an unmet obligation they witnessed through their work as guides in the world’s highest mountains. With cost-of-living grants, vocational training, and business grants, families are empowered to create sustainable businesses. Watch this short video to learn more.
To date the Juniper Fund has supported the families of over 48 lost workers, directly affecting the lives of over 200 people.
Meet the families we support
The Juniper Fund has had the honor and privilege of working with these families as they developed their own resilience and built successful and sustainable businesses with which they can support themselves and their communities.
